Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan is already a star, long before she makes her 70mm debut. The 20-year-old is a social media sensation and often leaves her fans and followers mesmerised by sharing a glimpse of her acting skills and chic fashion choices. Suhana recently made her Instagram account public and allowed her fans to get a sneak peek into her life. While fans can’t wait to see her on the big screen, Suhana recently returned to Mumbai from New York. If you stalk the star kid on Instagram, all you’ll see is some really fashionable snaps, the sweetest posts dedicated to her friends and adorable posts dedicated to her family. But more recently, Suhana went on to share a few screenshots of the nasty comments that she has been receiving to her posts. The millennial was addressed as ‘kaali,’ and took it upon herself to school the trolls who called her out for complexion. Taking to Instagram, Suhana revealed that she has been called ‘ugly’ since she was 12 years old because of her skin tone. She further wrote, “Other than the fact that these are actual adults, what’s sad is that we are all indian, which automatically makes us brown – yes we come in different shades but no matter how much you try to distance yourself from the melanin, you just can’t” Wanting to end colourism, Suhana further elaborated, “Hating on your own people just means that you are painfully insecure. I’m sorry if social media, Indian matchmaking or even your own families have convinced you, that if you’re not 5″7 and fair you’re not beautiful. I hope it helps to know that I’m 5″3 and brown and I am extremely happy about it and you should be too” Check out some of the comments shared by Suhana here: Suhana then went on to re-share this post as her Instagram story and further wrote that she has never got skin lightening done and neither will she ever get it done. Check out her post here: Suhana’s post ended with the star kid saying that she is 5’3, brown, and extremely happy about it. She further urged everyone reading the post that it’s time to end colourism. On the other hand, Suhana has already expressed her interest in following her father’s footsteps to become an actor. She has been studying filmmaking at New York University.
