Meet Ayotunde. Ayotunde means joy has returned in Yoruba, one of five hundred indigenous languages in Nigeria. She is wearing a traditional outfit consisting of Buba (loose fitting shirt) and Iro (wrapper or skirt) with a gele on her head. The matching scarf on her shoulder is called an ipele. The materials selected for the outfits vary from cotton to silk, with the fanciest geles reserved for weddings. Fun fact – Nollywood is second only in size to Bollywood in terms of film productions! Ayotunde is 8 inches tall and is shown in Caffe Latte skin tone with a green Iro, and a pink Iro. Offered in four different skin tones with a matching head wrap.
